Again, this is a SPOILER THREAD.

Ok, the season finale is over, and as one of the folks around here who has read the books, I can officially say that we are well off the established path.

The "deceased/alive" status of several characters is different from where the books were when the Woodbury story wrapped up. I will not reveal who because obviously I don't want to spoil things for future seasons. Plus, I apparently know as much as non-readers, so maybe that makes it safe?

I will say that if I were speculating on next season, it would be my guess that the Woodbury story has not ended, and this is essentially a cliff hanger.

I was just discussing this with a co-worker who has also read the books, and something was brought up that I've forgotten about.

Remember the kid they captured in season 2? I believe Shane killed him, but was his group ever revealed? I know Rick killed two in the bar, and then a few more were killed when they captured the kid. However, was that it? Didn't he say he was from a really large group? It wasn't Woodbury or it would have been mentioned.

I wonder if that group will make an appearance...perhaps with a new leader?

Also, Andrea was one of Frank Darabont's hires. He was the first showrunner on The Walking Dead. Pretty much everyone he brought with him is now dead, and off the show. Interesting.
