Apparently, The Dark Knight was enough to knock sense into the morons who thought Jack Black should play the Green Lantern is a comedy like The Mask.

It appears they're going w\ Hal Jordan, too, as the main GL.

Judging by the way he is showing off that 6-pack, I can tell he is a really good actor.

He was perfect for Deadpool until they screwed up the character. Here he's just the wrong actor for the job.

What? No.
No no no. You need a decently cut old guy for Hal Jordan.
Van Wilder is total Guy Gardner material.

I like Ryan Reynolds and I think this a terrible casting choice.

Peter Sarsgaard has been tapped to play the villain -- that, of course, being Dr. Hector Hammond. I'm still trying to figure out how this movie is going to evolve into anything watchable. That script is going to have to be pure gold.
EDIT : It appears all three writers come from the same CW/WB network background writing shitty-ass TV series. Fuck D.O.A., this thing's dead before arrival.

Who the hell is that?
I realize I'm not a big Green Lantern reader, but I've never heard of that person.
On the positive side, maybe they don't want to put Sinestro in an "origin" film? I truly hope that the thinking went "Let's save Sinestro for the next movie when half the movie won't be about Green Lantern's origin."

Who the hell is that?
Isn't he the silent villain from Fargo, and the Cosmonaut from Armageddon?
I like him.

I was referring to the villain character, not the actor.
Sinestro is, by far, the most well known Green Lantern villain.

Indeed. While it's not as bad as Batman going after say ... Calendar Man, there's better choices.
Vandal Savage springs immediately to mind.

Ryan Reynolds looks like a large, green tool.

First video.
Is it just me or does this look kind of shitty?
Right away it looks like too much humor, and as I've said from the beginning, I don't think Ryan Reynolds is Hal Jordan. I hope he proves me wrong.
Ryan Reynolds should have been cast as the Flash.
