Speaking of Mark Valley, if you're not watching this show, Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on FOX, you should be.

Mark is Christopher Chance, a former...something, who is fighting the good fight with the help of a former cop and another former...something.

Very well written show with great characters made even better by perfect casting.

There's an overlying story arc to the whole series about a former boss of Christopher's who wants him dead. Last week's show introduced a fantastic new character, Baptiste, that Chance trained and now works for Chance's old boss.

The show reminds me a lot of Burn Notice, except darker and with much better fights.

Give it a shot.

I like how very polished it is. Each episode feels like you just watched a good full-length action adventure movie. Somehow they cram two hours of high-quality entertainment into 40 minutes plus commercials.

The wife is a big fan. I think some of it is over the top. But it is an entertaining over the top.

I wouldn't quite say it's a movie in a 40 minute box, but it's certainly an entertaining show.

But really, I think yall just like it cuz you're such big McG fans.

Well, yeah, I did say it was like a movie. :p

But I may have oversold it a little. This week's episode is still good, but less tight and well-polished compared to the season so far.

I'm only two episodes in, the train and the airplane. I liked the "maybe we should take a train home" joke at the end of the airplane episode, as a reference to the first episode.

Admittedly it could also be because Mark Valley almost makes me consider questioning my sexuality.

Almost.

Ah, my favorite X-Files non-main character and my favorite Alias non-main character in episode 6. Nice. I keep thinking this is basically a male Alias.

Hmmm, on 2nd thought, the Lone Gunmen and Cigarette Smoking Man may have been more favorite.

Few notes:
1) For action, it's great, and fun.
2) The dialogue is a bit hackneyed and trite.
3) It needs a deeper, underlying thread/plot. They've hinted at it with the "boss" character, but so far, nothing's really there.
4) The Guerrero/black guy dynamic is repetitive and needs to move on already.

I would have called episode #10 the best GM ad I've ever seen, but by week 11 I was sick of it.

GM? As in General Motors?

Now I'm confused.

Oh, hey, I didn't know it was based on a comic book: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Target

The comic is WAY different.

He's not a bodyguard or problem solver...well, he is, but it's different.

In the book he actually assumes the life of the individual. He puts on their skin, ala the masks in the Mission Impossible series, and their mannerisms, and then lives their life until the situation is resolved.

Yes.

All the gratuitous Camaro shots? The gratuitous use of OnStar each of the past two episodes?

You'd better start getting used to this advertising because everyone is looking at it as it's the way of the future.
