Somewhere involved with that process is what my company does. I could tell you where, but then I would have to kill you.

So these two scientists are working on gene splicing to create new lifeforms that can generate proteins we can use to heal the world. Not content with their multi animal creatures, they decide to mix in some human. Cue hilarity.
Despite all the moral problems, despite all the legal issues, despite the danger it puts themselves and their co-workers in, and despite all the mounting evidence that they fucked up in a major way, they continue to make boneheaded decision after boneheaded decision.
That's where Splice falls apart, the main characters are easily two of the stupidest characters I've seen in a film in a decade, and they're scientists!
Beyond that, the movie is way too predictable. Even if you've never seen another movie in your life, you'll see all the twists and turns coming a mile away.
It's too bad because the concept, while not too original, was interesting. Also, the girls who played the creature were excellent, although I would've liked to have seen more from the creature itself.
Oh, and if you like science, you're going to be even more annoyed with the film.
4 out of 10.
