Jude Law and Forest Whitaker are repo men for The Union. The Union sells artificial organs that people use to live, upgrade their lives, or upgrade their bodies. When they can't pay, those organs get repoed in a very violent and bloody way.
The concept is interesting, but not original. In fact, there's a nod to the SNL skit that probably inspired this film.
Jude Law and Forest Whitaker are great, but the writing, not so much.
The relationship between Law, his wife, and then another woman is just really, really bad. So much so that you have to wonder if other scenes that explain his actions weren't left on the cutting room floor.
Also, there's a twist that you shouldn't see coming because it's so fucking stupid. Beyond stupid. The entire point of the film is forgotten just for the twist.
Two good performances wasted on bad writing.
5 out of 10 before the twist, then it becomes 2 out of 10.
