Wife actually picked this one out. I don't normally watch horror movies cause I find them stupid more often than not.
Well, I'll start by saying, it did have Jennifer's body, so that was cool. But, she's just so damn unatractive in real life that it didn't carry much weight. As a story, meh, it wasn't bad. As far as horror flicks go, it was above average. Again, I'm not a horror movie expert or even fan, so, can't speak from experience. The story was, of course, over the top. But then, so is Freddy, Jason, etc. So, what are you gonna do. This one was no more over the top and at least they had a decent explination for the events. It wasn't all blood and guts, but it had it's moments. It was mainly trying to be a horror thriller suspence type thing. But that might sum up every other horror movie as well. This one seemed to do it more like an actual movie would though. The killer could have just as easily been a normal psycho instead of Jennifer. So, they didn't just try to gross you out and make loud noises during tense scenes in a poor attempt to make you jump. There was an actual plot and story going on.
It doesn't make me want to go out and rent more horror movies due to what I've obviously been missing. However, it WILL make me not automatically dismiss a movie simply for being a horror movie. This one worked out, so, maybe there's hope for another.
Oh, girls kiss.
