Disney does Blu-Ray better than anyone.
You get the Blu-Ray disc, a regular DVD of the movie, and a digital copy.
Fantastic.

Digital copy is kind of bullshit, though. Won't work on Blackberrys.

Yeah, zune is one of the two approved platforms

1. Digital Copies require Windows Media Player, which really means they aren't digital copies. They are WMP copies. As far as I am concerned that is false advertising.
2. No VHS in the upgrade program.
3. I just did 11 of my Disney movies. All you do is go to the website, tell them which movies you want to "upgrade," and it gives you a pdf to print out. You tape your Proof-of-Purchase tabs from your DVD case to this form, and mail it in. When they receive it, I will receive, via email, coupons for $8 off each of those movies when I purchase them on BD.
So, I still have my old DVDs and cases and covers, I just cut off the tiny proof of purchase tab. So I still have my versions for the car dvd player for the kid. Or I could sell them. Whatever.
Pretty good deal, overall.

My Blackberry can play digital copies of movies. It cannot play WMP copies of movies.

My Xbox can play digital video games, but it cannot play PS3 games.

No, your XBox can play XBox games. WMP is required to play WMP files. WMP can also play a lot of general digital media files. I don't think your XBox can play generic software.
These aren't generic digital copies of movies, they are WMP-only copies of movies.
And I don't intend on arguing about it past this point.

If it's in your computer, it's by definition digital. Unless you've got a weird analog computer of some sort.

It isn't in my computer, it was in my blackberry. It is composed of 0's and 1's. My BB can play digital versions of movies. They don't need to be BB specific. It can't play these files.
So whatever.
