Awesome. I laughed, alot. I used to watch the series a long time ago, and there were a handful of "I remeber him doing that all the time" moments. "The old blah blah blah blah blah in the whatever trick". Stuff like that. I'm gonna watch it some more.

I enjoyed the original "Get Smart" series. Named my second dog Maxwell, in fact. I'll've to check this sometime.

I went in with low expectations too. But it's Steve Corell. So, I watched it. That's probably why I was able to enjoy it as much as I did. Wasn't expecting anything. It will help if you like Steve Corell's humor of couse.

This was much better than I thought it would be.

I really enjoyed Steve Carell in this as it was a departure from his normal character. Granted, Maxwell Smart isn't a massive departure from the normal character Steve Carell plays, but it is enough of one to give him a chance to step away and do something different.

I like that they get all the trademark stuff into the film without forcing it too much. Although, towards the end it did seem like a lot of the lines were thrown in like the writer was going "OH crap, Maxwell also used to say this..."

Everyone is great from the new Agent 99 (loved the Agent 99 wig...did anyone else notice that?) to General Zod to the two other agents who always taunt Max. A special mention of Alan Arkin as the Chief. He really seemed to be having fun with this movie.

I'd give this comedy a solid 8 out of 10.

It was pretty good. I could have gone without all of the "Bush is stupid/Cheney is evil and stupid" crap. Kept pulling me out of the movie.

The President and Vice president, while not named Bush and Cheney, were certainly supposed to be caricatures. You need look no farther than the "It's pronounced NU-CLEE-AR!" line.

Oh, right, I remember now. Well, that was all kind of at the end when my attention was wandering.

8 out of 10 confirmed.

I'm looking forward to Patrick Warburton in the sequal.

4/10

I really didn't care for it, and didn't laugh much at all. Without the old school references, it was kinda worthless.
