Monsters Inc was far and away the worst of all the Pixar films IMO but I still liked it so I will give this one a shot.

It does seem a bit too feel good though.

I always feel the same things when the credits (of a Pixar film) roll - amazement, satisfaction, amusement, admiration. When I leave the theater. there’s one emotion that stands out:

Took the kid to see it today... the theater was full-ish at 1:55 pm on a Wednesday afternoon.

3-D viewing.

I guess I don't like 3D movies. The 3D effects are fun, but for the 99% of the rest of the movie things just look a little off. Also, the 3D glasses don't come in kid sizes, so my 3-year-old had to hold them on his face the entire movie.

Movie itself: serviceable. This is the first Pixar I actually saw in the theater... except maybe Toy Story. Don't remember. Anyway, it's sweet enough. I'm sure I'll see it bout a million more times when the BD comes out.

DO they release BD's with the 3D effects? Not sure if it is possible.

I'm sure it depends on how the 3D effects are done.

I know the 80's 3D flicks used polarized lenses in the glasses with each side polarized in different directions (one side up and down, the other left and right) and the left and right images being projected likewise polarized and that wasn't possible to do with a TV. At least not with an 80's TV.

But Obama ended the polarizing so you can only watch those old 3D films with your right eye covered.

I think the only option for home 3d currently is anaglyphs. That's the red/blue thingies. Probably not worth the effort.
