I'm intrigued. You didn't miss much without the sound. He's broadcasting on AM, no wonder he thinks he's alone. :)

Wikipedia spoiler about the book.

When I read it, thought "That's sort of like that 1970's Charlton Heston movie" and when I read down a little further, sure enough, The Omega Man was based on it.

Vincent Price did a movie based on the book as well.

I remember including some old Vincent Price movie. I thought it was House on Haunted Hill.

What I remember was that you had the movie on your wanted list, but there was a DVD that had two movies (your movie and another) for exactly the same price.

One of the few films I've taken the time to see in the original cut & the director's cut.

If you want to take a bit of a sting out of the atrocity that was Highlander II, try watching the Special Edition.

It won't heal the wound, but it'll be like taking an aspirin (after you've been gang-raped by elephants).

Wasn't that called the "Rogue Edition" or something? I know someone that has it. But due to the fact that he's annoying to hang around & the original cut sucked so hard as to render unto me traumatic & nigh unbearable pain when confronted by anything that reminds me of it, I have neglected to watch it. Fuck the aspirin, man. After Highlander II, I want a general anesthetic.

They made the "Renegade Edition" then they made a few changes to it and called it the "Special Edition."

Honestly, I don't know which one I saw. But I know it was much much better than Highlander II.

I didn't want to bother with it, but my father-in-law told me I had to see it, so I did.
In a way it works toward correcting a great injustice.

It's like the director's way of telling us we don't have to swallow that load the studio gave us.
But you'll still want to spit.

That was part of what made him so fucking awesome.

Plus the fact that completely covered in laytex he conveyed more emotion than Gay Cruise and that goofy bitch that starred with him.

By the end we were all rooting for Curry.

The chick looked moist & tasty when she went to the dark side

Otherwise known as the chick from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" or Mia Sara.

Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr. and Jim Carrey were all considered for the role of Jack.
Okay... Carrey would have been bad, but I wonder if it would have been less ass without Gay Cruise?

I'm almost curious as to what it would've looked like w\ Johnny.
