An oldie, but I figured I'd throw a quick review in since I watched the whole trilogy this weekend and will be commenting on the second and third films in their respective threads.

Matt Damon stars an amnesiac who may or may not be a government assassin.

I really liked this film. It was well acted and original. The shaky cam, at the time, was acceptable. (Now it's used WAY too much.)

A solid 8 out of 10.

SPOILERS TO FOLLOW
I watched a version with an alternate opening and ending. The opening saw Jason fall into a trap and get drugged, which is hilariously fake. I mean, here's a guy that in the entire trilogy they can never find, yet they stage this massively elaborate trap just to get him to drink a drugged soda. The trap is also one of those stupid "Here is a fully stocked and working bazaar, but when our hero turns for a single second, all the people and products disappear." Anyway, the new opening ends with him on the ground falling unconscious. The new ending has him meeting with the old guy who was Conklin's boss. Conklin being Bourne's boss until he went off the reservation. Anyway, the old guy tells him that he wants him to come back to work and that everything is new. Blah blah blah. Then the movie finishes with the actual ending of him showing up to see Maria. I like this ending. It sets the series up to make Jason the "poor man's Bond." Unfortunately, the Hollywood suits took it another way and stretched the same plot line out for three movies.

Holy Christ! I don't hate those movies, but they aren't very good. Why would you willingly watch all three in one sitting?

Are you doing penance for melting down a busload of nuns or something?

Nah, in my office I have two TVs. Previously, I didn't have a DVD player hooked up to the TV I use primarily for watching actual TV. Since I received the Blu-Ray that has changed.

So this weekend I was playing Spider-Man: Web of Shadows on my X-Box 360 on one TV and catching up on DVDs on the other TV. I had never watched Supremacy or Ultimatum before so I knocked 'em out.
