While I like the animation style of the Cartoon Network Clone Wars more I am still down with the animation. No stars are doing the voices except Samuel L.

The animation looks like cut scenes from a video game from 2002.

I liked the CN Clone Wars because of the way it told the stories. Those excellent little vingettes were just right for telling the story of a war spread across the galaxy. I'm not sure it will be improved by making it into one big two hour movie with one big plot.

Actually it really isn't a film. It is the first 3 or 4 episodes of the new TV series. Since it is being shown all together I read the first episode will share the same story but then they will jump around to different conflicts.
Just trying to start the series off with a big production. I hate going to the theater so since it will be on TV I could wait but if other friends are going I will probably check it out.

Word is that this movie is absolute shit on a George Lucas level, so avoid.

What I have read is that critics hate it but they showed it at comic con and star wars celebration and they said it was great.
If it comes close to the other cartoon then I think it will kick ass.

I heard there was a storyline concerning a kidnapped baby Hutt.
I also heard that Lucas sued to silence early bad reviews.... or some such thing.

Yeah something along the lines of the young hutt is taken by the separatists and the jedi help in order for other favors. Not sure if that is the overall story or just one of 3 stories in the film because they just took the first 3 episodes of the TV show and put them together.
From what I have read from fans they say that it will work better as a TV show since each one will have a some sort of beginning and end not three endings like in the film. Sort of like Stewie Griffin the untold story where you can watch it all together but can plainly see where each episode ended so it doesn't fell like a film.

The previews looked like ass. Not the good kind, either.

Oh man maybe at the end of that storyline we learn the captured baby Hutt's name was JABBA.
Oh man that would just be so f'n cool.

I hate the need to connect everything. The people who work on Star Wars still think there needs to be some connection to the original trilogy for anything to work.
I think KOTOR showed that all you really need are lightsabers/force and spaceships shooting at each other and people will come along just fine.

The first KotOR beat the shit out of any of the prequels in terms of plot & entertainment.
