The problem with the AFI lists is that they reflect the age of their voters.
People naturally think their generation's films are better than the previous or next generation's.
Every single AFI list that comes out always has old movies on top of every list and contrary to what the asshole in the article thinks, it doesn't make someone want to run out and rent it. Instead it makes them simply see the list as biased. Sorry, but for as much shit as Hollywood churns out, there were still some fantastic films made in the last 20 years. Films that were successful at the box office and/or successful in inspiring new genres, film making techniques, and/or film maker.
But hey, let's ignore those because Bambi is cutting edge animation.
Oh, and for the record, Citizen Kane is still overrated.
