Actually, yeah, I disagree with Gladiator. After he said that line he just went back to jail to cool his jets. There was nothing hitting the fan after that scene except a lot of angst from the emperor. "I am vexed. I am so very vexed."

I hated that waste of celluloid. Easily one of the most overrated films of the last decade.
One of the stupidest things I've heard in recent months was "300 was a rip off of Gladiator."
The Fredo one was weak too. Big deal, Michael killed Fredo. The baptism scene was MUCH better and a lot mroe people died. In fact, it was a bigger scene since the people being killed were the heads of all the rival gangs.

I liked it better when it was called Braveheart
THAT'S why I wanted to punch people in the throat when they talked about 300 being a ripoff of Gladiator.
I don't think it was so much a BAD movie, but not nearly as good (or original) as the hype.
