Unknown is a thriller about 5 guys locked in a warehouse with no memory of who they are or why they're there. The only thing they do know, thanks to a mysterious phone call, is that some of them are kidnappers, some of them are the kidnapped, and the other kidnappers are on their way back.

Not a horrible execution on this interesting premise, but not a great one either. All too quickly, you'll know who the people are given the clues provided and the odd choice of flashbacks. It really kills any suspense. The twists and turns seem forced too.

It's a shame too because the cast, a collection of B listers, really do a great job in their performances.

If you enjoy suspenseful thrillers with twists and turns, check it out. It is worth a rental. However, see The Usual Suspects, Reservoir Dogs, or Identity before you see this one.

Great acting, interesting plot, poor execution.

6 out of 10.

Sounds like a really good idea.

Too bad it's poorly executed.
