Before Guy Ritchie was fucking Madonna, he made this film. Most folk'll recognize Jason Statham & Vinnie Jones in some of their earliest roles. The plot, as is normal in all Ritchie films, gets complicated if you're trying to keep track of everyone all the time. Multiple botched heists & coincidental dovetailing of storylines keep shit loosely tied together. If you've seen "Snatch," you've a good idea whereof I speak. The directing is manic & frenetic (again, almost the exact same as "Snatch"). The acting from the ensemble cast is actually decent. The cinematography & music pulsate w\ coolness and serve to lighten the mood to what is also a display o' rampant violence in various scenes. &, as always, you can't stop paying attention at any point, otherwise you'll be lost for the rest of the movie.

Verdict : 3.5 stars. Check this bleeazniatch out.

This was made prior to Snatch. It was such a hit that he got the bigger names to appear in Snatch like Pitt and del Toro.

Highly recommended. This is one of those films you can watch over and over again.

In fact, you might need to just so you can grasp the English slang and accents.

Vinnie Jones is particularly awesome.
