Went to Best Buy today and was browsing the PC Games. I noticed one game came out that went under my radar, Starship Troopers.
At $39.99 I figured what the hell and picked it up.
A short review will be coming before the weekend is over.

Did we ever get a review? I bought it, but haven't loaded it yet.

Shit. I thought I had reviewed this one.
Well, here's a quick review before I head to golf league:
Total fucking ass. Poor overall design, bad graphics, LAAAAAAAAAGGGGYYYYYY gameplay, never ending enemies versus limited ammo, completely unrealistic to the ST universe, an insult to the film let alone the novel, etc., etc.
If you haven't opened it, take it back.
More opinions.

It's just a shooter, right? I don't need to role play or solve the puzzle or adventure or anything?

Yep, just a shooter. (Golf league got rained out.)
Don't say I didn't warn you. It's terrible.

With all the other good games yet to be played. . . return it. It's not like you're lacking in good games to choose from. It will bump Call of Duty 2 higher up in your list which IS a good game. If you had already played all the good games, you could consider playing crappy ones.
Besides, once you start working with Leisher, you can borrow it from him.

Call of Duty 2 does kick ass.
Starship Troopers is one I will happily give you Gordo. Tomorrow night I'll see if I can mail it to you or if that'd be a waste of time.
So wait until tomorrow before making your decision. Hell, you may want to see if there's a demo out there to test it before you open the box if you can't wait until tomorrow.

All right.
I returned it and got Oblivion (on DVD) instead.

Oblivion versus Starship Troopers is like comparing sleeping with (Insert hottie of your choice here or Roseanne Barr.
You made a wise move.

My Oblivion decision was based on 3 things:
1. Very good reviews.
2. It was available on DVD instead of X number of cd's where X > 4.
3. No copy protection.
