Current plan is to start Serious Sam 2 at 10pm, eastern time.
I could be available for SW: Battlefront at 9, or so.

As of right this second I'm assuming no one is playing tonight.

GV still hates me and I have the correct settings
Anyone interested in using teamspeak?

Is WinXP firewall blocking it?

Brand new windows install and that is turned off. I have zonealarm but I removed that and still would not work. Checked my firewall and opened those ports so I don't know.

Hmm. As far as I know you wouldn't need to open YOUR ports to connect to MY server.....
I know the download page showed GV version 1.5, but verify that it really is.
I don't know of anyone who has had a problem connecting to me when they tried.

Also, make sure your GV settings are showing your external IP instead of your LAN IP.

And when you hit "Join server," are you joining by ip, and then using the format - url:port number? I think you need both in that window.

It was set to just use default adapter but I tried putting in my external ip manually, no change.

I could be wrong about that server address format. You might need to plug in the port there on the settings page, and then just put in the url in the join window.
Again, I never connect to myself over the internet...

Tried that both ways, no go.

It would be awesome if Cake or Leisher just sent you a screenshot of their settings page.
Then you'd be able to narrow down the problem if it still didn't work.

Well Leisher showed me what he used in join by ip, was the same you had shown me and there are really not many other settings in it to configure. Only thing I can figure is my router dont like it.
Running netstat shows that port trying to be used but doesn't even show it trying to access your box.

FYI: I do indeed have a port open for GV. Not sure why that would work, but...
Oh, and I am playing tonight, but I may be a bit late. We went X-mas tree shopping tonight and long story short, the real and crooked one was returned and we bought a fake. I've got to prep some food and get my family settled and I'll be there.
If Cake isn't showing and Zet's having problems, we could always just do some more SW tonight.
Speaking of SW, when II drops in price we should upgrade. The reviews claim everything is better than the first one. They say it's like Empire compared to Episodes I-III.

Absolutely. Someone shout-out when it hits thirty bucks. Major bugs should be killed by then, too.
(PS - port 9110? ???)

(PS - port 9110? )
What's the question? Why 9110? I honestly don't remember, but it had something to do with my Netgear router when I set it up.

I thought we were using 59110................... but, maybe there's some weird Microsoftery in there.
Zet - mimic leisher. try the 9110.
