What's the low down on drones? Useful? If so, in what situations? Suckage? If so, why?

It looks like to start out with they kind of suck...
But if you had drone 5.
You could have 5 light scouts in a ferox.
Now add the 10% bonus dmg per level for combat drones.
Then add the 20% bonus dmg per level for Drone interfacing...
Could add up pretty quickly!

Much like everything else, once you invest a month or so training it up, it becomes useful.
Clever these MMOG designers are.
