Be sure to read the letters to the editor...
The article Tuesday regarding charging a man with breach of peace because he tried to warn bank tellers that a man with a weapon was in the bank was incongruous [Sept. 17, Police Briefs, "Man Charged After Trying To Warn Bank"].

I don't care if there's a law that says weapons can be carried anywhere. If some idiot comes into a bank with a gun, I will notify tellers (and everyone else) that a possible robbery is about to happen.

If someone's gun is kept in their home or car, that's their business. If a gun is brought into a public place, it becomes my business. Why don't stores and banks have signs posted that say "No weapons allowed"? And if I get arrested for breach of peace, so be it.

I guess it's like the old joke about "you've got the equipment to be a whore."
