A guy proposes on reddit, and while the girl said yes, he's getting lots of negativity over how he proposed.

Here's the actual proposal. (Don't forget to click the link after the final image to see all the art he commissioned for the proposal.

Personally, considering they're both nerds, and have an obvious bond with technology, I don't see the problem. In fact, I'd say that the girl loved it, so his critics can all go fuck themselves.

I think ball park proposals have been done to death, but I'm not telling the guys doing it that they're assholes and love is dead.

The guy commissioned all that art work, and honestly, that took some effort. I'd argue more effort than just dropping to a knee, yet nobody would complain about that sort of proposal.

Wait, what is the poll? Yes, it was a bad proposal? No, he shouldn't have done that?

That's really the only point, isn't it? I mean, you shouldn't propose by going on a shooting spree or something, but anything that doesn't break any serious laws is fair game. It's an audience of 1. Granted, he projected it using a multitude of folks on a massive social site, so more than 2 people were involved in the execution.

As far as "bad" goes ... eh. Do I think most people would pick this given the chance? Probably not. Are there worse ways? Oooooooooooh yes. But "bad" is relative.

I think people are just jealous they couldn't get a 2c rock for their girlfriends, and... well, don't have girlfriends.
