New law forces them to turn down the volume.
My wife will be thrilled. She constantly bitches about commercials being too loud.

I usually skip 'em, but she...being a woman...doesn't use the remote as well as I do.
It's ultra annoying during the kids' shows though.
"I want more Spongebob!"
"It's a commercial, Spongebob will be back on in a minute."
