Check out the link. This kid committed multiple felonies against a person and is stunned by his sentence. (3 years isn't exactly a death sentence.)

So, because he was an athlete this is tragic? Or do people get this upset all the time about a three-year sentence for kidnapping, felonious assault and other crimes?

Considering the "victim" was crying over the sentence and pleaded with the judge for leniency, it sounds like maybe it was all bullshit she exaggerated in the first place. And, she used to be associated with a rising sports star... now she is associated with a felon. Good move, sweetie.

It was caught on tape.

And it's a death sentence to his basketball career, I would think. Which is fine. Just sayin'.

I skimmed. A kidnapping was caught on tape? What did he do, specifically? Too lazy to open it up again.

Farmer pleaded guilty in July to kidnapping, felonious assault, robbery and intimidating a victim stemming from his altercation last April with Lane in the lobby and parking lot of her apartment complex in Bedford Heights.

Much of the incident was caught on videotape inside the apartment building.

Farmer assaulted Lane, dragged her by her hair outside the building and then took her cell phone, bank card, computer and car keys, prosecutors said.
He was also charged with intimidation for sending threatening text messages and voicemails to her, the newspaper reported.

That's not kidnapping. Assault and the other stuff, sure, but dragging someone by their hair a few hundred feet is not kidnapping.
