Teens don't sext as much as you think.
First of all, no shit. If the MSM is reporting a "problem", you can be assured that they're over hyping it. What absolute proof of their negative effect on society? Look no further than crime statistics versus perception of crime.
Secondly, kids lie about their sexual exploits. I remember some study back when I was in high school that showed most girls in high school to still be virgins (might have been grade specific). Yet oddly enough, every guy claimed to not be a virgin. So either they were lying or the girls who weren't virgins were fucking EVERYBODY.

The virginity- thing depends on the school. Some schools need daycare on campus.

Rothman interviewed 328 females
An estimated 7.3 percent of the teens said they had experienced what researchers called "multi-person sex" -- an experience that could have ranged from a gang rape to a sex party.
24 girls out of 328 isn't "tons". 
Especially if you consider that MOST are probably rape situations, which is a LOT more common than you might think. This is especially true at parties where alcohol and drugs are involved.
Remember, rape is the most unreported crime.
For those cases that don't involve rape, how many involve child abuse? What is the relationship like for that individual and her family?
Although, I do happen to know a girl in her 20s who is currently attending college, and she willingly had sex with her boyfriend and two of his friends. Now that makes me more curious about what her back story is with her family.

After I posted that I thought "I mean, 3 guys on 1 girls isn't exactly my idea of fun..." but if I weren't dating anyone/getting any at the time, and some dude was like "hey, my gf will bang you." i mean, wth, right?

I wouldn't.
I mean if she wanted me and he was ok with it, fine, but he doesn't get to join in or watch. That is not my thing.
Came very close once, but left during the opening act. Don't worry, I slept with her later.
On a related note, I know a guy who had sex with a married woman in front of her husband. I couldn't do that. There's something about it I don't respect. I don't judge those who do, but it's nothing I'd ever be into.
