Lately my resolve to continue my extended boycott of Apple has been wavering slightly. I've been considering getting an iPod Touch.
But with this latest offense, I am once again strong. No Apple products shall darken my door.

I've never owned an Apple product yet. If this stays true I never will.
I think everything I own is either open sourced or standardized in some manner.
No Apple products shall darken my door.
These statements are no longer true.
I now have an iPod Touch.
It is ... an excellent product. And I feel dirty.

First Steam, now Apple.
I predict TPR will join Scientology this year too.

No apple, here.
No iTunes.
I don't even load Quicktime.

I have a 3 year old Apple Shuffle that was a gift that I use for jogging (so, I have iTunes).
And we have 2 iPods that bought for my wife. An old 20GB (possibly 30GB) iPod Photo one, and an 80GB Classic.
I hates the iTunes.

I've heard some hideous stories from a few people about that service.

I don't care for iTunes. I had to hack the heck out of the setup files to get it to install and find a third-party built driver for the device. Apple doesn't support Windows XP64 in the slightest.
But it's worth putting up with for the iPod Touch. It's replaced my Nintendo DSi as my portable gaming platform, and it's replaced my Blackberry for portable web surfing, email, etc. It blows them both away.
I expect I'll pick up a Google Nemesis about a year from now, when my current phone contract has run out, and replace all of it with that. If it's any good. Which I hope it will be, so I can then stop feeling dirty.

Hate Google, but willing to try one of the new Android phones as soon as AT&T starts losing out on that market share and tells Apple to suck it. Otherwise I'll be switching carriers, I guess.
