Post the good ones here.
Looks like Best Buy will be selling a 50" TV for $200.

It's free on the "fuck you and your walkie talkies, Steven Spielberg" torrent site.

Speilberg admited the walkie talkies were a mistake, and undid the changes. I give him props for that.

Also free on the "fuck you for your radiation-proof refrigerator and Indy's son, who is obviously from when Marion cheated on him with Tarzan" torrent site.

Speilberg has also come just short of admitting that Lucas was fucking crazy for the shit he put in that movie he was just diplomatic about it.
So props there, too.

I don't know. Look at Minority Report and the stupid parts in there were obviously Spielberg's crap. No way the original script had "sick sticks" (anti-gun) or the scene with the rotten food after the eye surgery or chasing the eyeball down the stairs. The rest of the movie and plot was well thought out. These scenes really stuck out as not belonging and had Spielberg's fingerprints all over them.

Spielberg can't make gold every time. I forgive him for the shitty films because his great ones are SO great. Also, as Gordo said, he's far more sane than Lucas.

Spielberg started his decline with Jurassic Park in my opinion. I can't think of anything he's done in a long while the was really great.

Artists peak. He's still the master of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. But the world is moving on.

I'll certainly give him the 70's and 80's. Aside from the anti-gun stuff, I say his stuff might have become formulaic because for a couple of decades he was writing what was becoming the formula.

Yeah but he still had JP, Amistad, and Schindler's List in the 90's.
Ok, maybe he peaked at JP.

JP was not a great directing and story telling job. JP had awesome special effects, but otherwise didn't really wow me.
Think back to Close Encounters and how little there was in way of special effects until you got to the end. The story drove it. With JP I think he relied far too much on the special effects driving it.
Or he realized that in 20 years previous of his career that the audience had developed ADD to the point of being goldfish like.

Is anyone else noticing Amazon's discounts haven't been that impressive lately?
During Black Friday the wife and I were going through their listings and she spotted more than a dozen items that were advertised elsewhere significantly cheaper. I was researching Eclipse mints last night (I'm addicted) and they're selling for double the cost of what I can buy them for in stores. This is all prior to shipping.

Yeah, I only saw a couple of items that were great prices. One was a 50" TV for $199, regular $499, but it was gone in seconds.
