Mine just expired and have to renew it. Wife wants to attend this time.

I considered getting one, because it's easy in this state and because it would make my brother totally jealous.
I'm not motivated to waste an afternoon on the certification class though. I've just never had a need to carry.

One never has a need to carry until one does.

I took the class 9 years ago, when I first bought a pistol. But I didn't really feel like following through with a carry permit; kinda expensive and I don't ever really go anywhere I can carry. But I figured lately, why not? And apparently the class doesn't expire.

Now I gotta buy a carry gun and holster.

I just have an advance team of snipers go ahead of me everywhere I go ready to take out anyone who gets too close to me.

My class was $150 and I don't remember there being a charge for the permit. Some small fees for laminating if I wanted to and stuff like that. But, I'll know for sure when my wife gets hers.

Each state is different. It's 80 bucks just for the permit, here.

Yeah but I'm not going to just carry one around all the time. (I can legally keep one in a locked glove compartment in this state)

I think the class here is $75, but there's a $40 sheriff fee and a $20 state fee, and $5 more if they take the photo instead of me providing my own.

Oh, and if I had a wife who had a conceal & carry permit, I'd *have* to get one too. You know, to adhere to the guy-code.
