is a miserable old cock sucker. There is nobody in sports more worthless than that piece of shit.
I say that as someone who hates Detroit sports.

You didn't see the Tigers-Indians game the other night?
Gallaraga (sp?) was pitching a perfect game. 2 outs in the 9th and an Indian hits it between first and second. This pulls the first baseman away from the bag. Gallaraga runs over to cover, catches the ball, and gets his foot down a half a second before the runner gets there.
The official standing there, Jim Joyce, calls him safe.
Perfect game gone. All replays show the runner was out and it wasn't even close.
Jim Joyce demands a replay when he leaves the field and sees that he was wrong. He breaks down. He releases a public apology to Gallaraga apologizing.
Yesterday morning, Gallaraga and Joyce hugged before the game at home plate. Gallaraga gave him the Tigers line up card from the game.
The sports world calls for Selig to reverse the call. Such things have occurred before. Nobody loses if MLB does it.
Selig refuses. Says they'll "look into" officiating during the off season. Goes back to torturing small animals.

Didn't see the game. If this gets reversed, then this shit gets reversed, too.
If baseball wanted accurate calls, they'd go the NFL route & let people throw challenge flags.

Humans make mistakes, mistakes are part of the game. Move on.
I mean, it's baseball - who cares?

I think it still might change it just depends on how pissed people stay about it in the media.
I am all for changing it because it doesn't change anything else. The Tigers still win the game and the Indians still lose. The only different I see is the the next person to throw a perfect game is the 20th instead of the 19th and the player who was called safe has his average go down by .0001%.

Even the pitcher that got screwed out of the perfect game is letting it go.

Yeah but I think this is more of a tactic. If he is bitching and moaning about it then the reaction from people will be more of "shut up people make mistakes" but being or appearing to be above the complaining makes him look better and then rallies people to his cause because he is a good guy.
