I like Jack Black, but I don't like Jack Black as Claptrap. Why not just hire the actual fucking voice behind Claptrap?! If you want Jack Black he could easily play Salvador.

Also, written by Eli Roth, so...it's probably going to suck.

Is that Tiny Tina? I haven't played in a minute.

The dude with the party in the psycho mask bugs me a little.

But the production values look otherwise appropriate.

I remember the black guy being a mountain, not that little comedian guy whose name escapes me.

Yeah, but clearly way scaled back from her original character, which was awesome.

He was large than Kevin Hart, who isn't?. However, Brick was a mountain compared to him, so this is fine.

I'm guessing these events take place before any vault hunters show up.

Yeah, this can wait for Plex.

Replacing Claptrap’s voice and hiring old women was stupid.

6% critics almost makes me think it could be good. They're mainly woke idiots.

51% audience.... Ehhhhhh....

6% critics means it could still be dumb fun, actiony, whatever. But 51% audience, ooof. It's either highly pretentious and poorly marketed, or crap.

Critics liked Acolyte, full of strong female protagonists, fans left it at about 14%.

Worse movie of the year? Not in my opinion, but I am well-steeped in the source material.

This is basically like watching someone run a mission in the game, on youtube. If you play the game, it makes sense. If you aren't a gamer, then this would be incomprehensible garbage.

There's nothing deep in this movie. I don't think any characters have a moment of growth. There are no clever plot moments. Tiny Tina is WAY toned down, and her backstory changed, but she's still kinf of a maniac which is cool.

I had exactly two very small chuckles, which is more than I've had in some movies sold as comedies. The end is somewhat anti-climactic, the Vault in the game at least had a point. I dunno.

The game had the incredibly charismatic and funny Handsome Jack, this movie villain is bland and forgettable. That was a strange choice, to me. They already had 2-3 full games full of dialogue, already written.

If you're a fan of the game, this isn't a complete waste of time. I think everyone reading this played it, so that's my review.

NOT the worst movie of the year, if you've played the game. 51% audience score feels about right.

Not the worst movie ever, but I thought it was pretty shit.

Jack Black was, shockingly, the worst cast person. That's saying something considering Roland is a very large black man in the games and in the movie it's Kevin Hart. I get why the original voice wasn't used, but Jack's take didn't work for me at all.

The story was just trash, Tiny Tina has been nerfed since her original appearance thanks to woke culture, Blanchet was clearly phoning it in, so many cringe lines, and Gordon's right that the villain was extremely meh.

Krieg should have been left off for Brick. Also, I take it back, Jamie Lee Curtis might have been the worst casting as Tanis. Gina Gershon (Moxxi) and Benjamin Byron Davis (Marcus) were the ones that really brought back memories of the games.

Nobody who has ever played the games needs to see this, and I wouldn't really recommend it to those who had.
