Matthew McConaughey is a marijuana kingpin who wants out of the game. He makes an offer to another kingpin to buy him out. This triggers people to think he's weak and people start fucking with him. Now he has to fight to save his empire.
Directed by Guy Ritchie who also helped with the writing.
How did this film go under the radar? It's fucking good.
Hugh Grant is almost unrecognizable as a shifty reporter attempting to blackmail McConaughey's empire. Charlie Hunnam is great as McConaughey's right hand man.
It's not as funny as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, but expect the same twists, turns, humor, multiple parties, and so on.
Really enjoyed it.
