It starts off as Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
Then it becomes a little V for Vendetta.
Then it goes heavy Escape from New York.
Some parts after this reminded me a little of Reign of Fire, but it also had bits of The Road Warrior.
Ends on a bit of an Escape from L.A. note, with justa smidge of The Chronicles of Riddick.
There were some flaws and continuity errors, but all in all it was worth the price of a matinee. Very gory movie, as well. No punches pulled. Fight scenes are also a little choppy, but not as bad as in Batman Begins.

It was well worth the price of admission. Oh, right the theater wouldn't take my debt card. Cash or check she says. Gordo had cash so he paid. Even better.
It was allot of those movies but I was entertained. You might even thro alittle Legend in there.

Yeah, I didn't see any Legend...
Maybe he meant I am Legend. Plague wiping out a population, and such.

Pretty much agree with what's been said.
This won't win any awards for storyline or acting, but it was entertaining.
I'd watch a follow up as long as same actress returned to play the main character.

Yay my friend's HBOGo account!
Rhona Mitra is a bad ass special forces officer or cop, it's kind of unclear, who gets send to Scotland to find the cure to a virus. Scotland having been walled in years ago to contain said virus.
They could have called this Escape from Scotland, and you'd get the picture.
Rhona's boss is the late Bob Hoskins. Rhona herself is pretty badass and I wonder if her name was ever discussed for Wonder Woman. She has the look.
Malcolm MacDowell is here as a leader and scientist of one faction beyond the wall. So is my MyAnna Buring, playing his daughter, who is pretty hot and might be climbing my list.
I had fun watching the film despite some cheesy moments and tons of cliches. It REALLY is Escape from Scotland.

I searched for "Doomsday" and it didn't find it.
It's weird that I had zero recollection of watching this movie aside from the opening scene which looked really familiar.

Remnant of the old board... not indexed very well... so I searched on "road warrior." Worked.
