The Suicide Theory

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Yay Netflix!

A man keeps trying to commit suicide, but it never takes. Thus, he hires a professional. Unfortunately, even he can't get the job done. The odd circumstances lead to a bond between the killer and the man trying to die.

I wasn't paying attention to this movie when I started it, but slowly got drawn into it. I thought it was going to be some cheesy comedy based on the pictures Netflix uses to promote it, but it's not. This has some humor, but this is a character driven drama with sprinkles of action.

The acting is really solid, and the story is great. Yeah, there's a bit of "magic" you have to get past because the guy can't die, but it's not something you'll focus on at all.

This is an indy film so it needs polish, but it's really well done.

Recommended.

Is the suicidal man named Jack Harkness, by chance?
