The Detour

I'm not even sure how to describe this show.
A messed up couple with a couple kids move to NYC, and life happens.
It is funny and profane, and the adults aren't really what you would consider to be "good" people, but they don't go out of their way to hurt anyone else, and even though the Dad tries to be a nice guy he isn't afraid to tape up his knuckles and calmly beat the ever loving fuck out of a guy in a back alley who threatens the happiness of his family.
I missed the first few episodes, but I was able to jump in in the middle and I am enjoying it.
