June 19, 2009 - According to Shia “Mutt Williams” LaBeouf, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have agreed on a plot for Indiana Jones V.

While in London promoting Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, LaBeouf, told the BBC: "Steven just said that he cracked the story on it before I left and I think they're gearing that up."

The above quote is the entirety of the article.

I hope the movie opens with Indy grieving because his 20 year old son suddenly died of SIDS the night before.

I'd see that movie every night for a week.

From Andy in Parcs & Rec to the biggest star in the world, almost overnight.

Pratt wanted for Indy reboot.

I think that would be a good casting choice.

Wait...will Lucas have anything to do with this movie?

No. Disney got that shit attached to the Lucas Arts deal after the fact. It's theirs.

Isn't it ridiculous how much more likable Pratt is than Laboof?

Then I have hope.

Isn't what Shia is doing sort of a kind of suicide? Jaquin Phoenix did the same thing when he fake retired. Where's his career now?

New Indy movie opens up. Indy is talking on the phone to Pratt, his "real" son:

"That annoying little prick who said he was my son turned out to be working with the commies. Or he was an alien, I don't remember. Anyhow, I shot him like that dumbass swordsman in the market thirty years ago."

The best part of that is they can say this scene was written by Lucas and it'd be completely plausible.

It's too soon to tell whether this next installment will be any good, but I think it's safe to say that a lot of that depends on Lucas' involvement. In this case, the less he's involved, the better.

This guy gets it.

No recasting of Indiana Jones.

They don't want to do the James Bond thing.

Not anytime soon and maybe never with the current team.

They're all too busy with Star Wars.
