I'm certain I posted something about this previously, but I think it's buried in a thread about another subject.
Anyway, Universal is going to create a shared universe based on their "classic" monsters.
The Mummy, Wolfman, Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula, and Van Helsing will all get films and interact with one another...
They really need to update these character to make them interesting and make this work.

More movies planned.
This should get interesting starting this weekend. The Mummy opens to not so great reviews and does so against week 2 of Wonder Woman.
I've also heard, and swear I reported here somewhere, that WB is going to sue them over "Dark Universe" as they already use that phrase.

Made $30 million...ouch.
They're saying the international box office saved it ($142M), which would appear to be true, but c'mon, this isn't what they were hoping for.

Universal made some post on facebook with that chick on it and it said something like, "The ultimate evil is coming!" I happened to be one of the first commenters and I said, "It's weird how often 'ultimate evil' has a nice rack."
It got deleted.
