Review:
Robert Mitchum, one of my favourite actors, stars as an ex-GI turned bootlegger. He's so damn good, all the other shiners bitch about how he'll bring the feds down on them.
Fun fact: Mitchem wanted Elvis as his co-star, but Col. Tom Parker wanted the King's salary to be over 100% of the movie's budget. Robert gave the part to his own son.
Verdict:
Worth checking, as far as old films go. Then again, I'm a Mitchum fan.
