Saw it.
Totally knew what was going to happen at the end.
Still, a good show.

I know the entire situation is a downer, but they don't have to make it crushingly sad. I will probably stop watching if they do that.

Quit watching.
Interesting that you say that because my wife says the show makes her too anxious to watch it, so she talks throughout to help keep herself calm. I know another lady who DVRs them all and watches them in the daytime.
And I'm not picking on you. I understand how you feel. The Shiled, which was a fantastic show that I highly recommend, was so dark and emotionally erratic, that I felt drained and depressed after watching each week. However, it was so good, I couldn't stop watching.
Robert Kirkman has gone on record as saying "Nobody in the cast is invulnerable. I could seriously kill them all off and start up fresh without hesitation." Now, he was referring to the book, so anyone gaining star power on the show might change things in terms of TV. Still, that man had an ability to tap into the worst parts of humanity and show it. His ability to do this is very disturbing.
You're going to start hearing more and more talk of another character that is inevitably going to show up...you will NOT like that season.
If you're curious, what happened at the end of the first episode of season 2 happens in the book, but in a different way, and much, much farther along in the story. If you want to know what I know about that situation IM me. I don't want to write up spoilers here.

Season three confirmed.
That's what happens when you shatter basic cable ratings records.

Oh man, the last two episodes were lightyears better than anything we've seen out of this show so far. Just got them both on Amazon to catch up, and was not dissapointed.
I love that it has already been renewed for a longer 3rd season.

Best scene of the show, and there were no Zombies involved!

WARNING!!!!!!!
Do NOT click any links or read any stories online about The Walking Dead until Season 2 is over. (3 episodes left!!!)
Someone at AMC is getting fired because their ads for the Season 2 DVD sets reveal a HUGE spoiler.
If you've read the books, you know the spoiler, but obviously don't post it here.

As some who has read all the books to date, I was stunned by that turn of events. Oh, and that was NOT, what was spoiled.

I wasn't expecting the end to that episode.
Wow.
There was some dust in the room too, because my eyes were watery.

Should I get caught up on the episodes before clicking that link, Paul?

No. There are no spoilers, even if you haven't seen a single episode.

You don't need to for Paul's link. It's just an awesome promo. Might be the best promo I've ever seen for anything.
But yes, I would HIGHLY recommend if you're not caught up, do so very quickly. Two episodes left in season 2, and I think there are some big events going down that you might not be able to avoid.

As of now, how many episodes have there been since the 2nd part of the season started? My DVR recorded 3. Just saw them tie up the kid and put him in the trunk, again.

Nevermind, I overlooked the last episode in the list of stuff I have on there.

How what happened in last night's episode happened in the comic.
I kinda like how they did it on TV better, though I'm pretty ignorant about how things went in the comic.
