I'm going to kind of flesh things out for you with speculation and what not. Nothing should be a spoiler for peeps reading the spoiler thread.
Her name is Quake. She causes tremors and not just in the ground. She beat Magneto by causing tremors in his head and threatened Wolverine by attacking his heart (Not that it would do shit to him.) There's a comic from a few years back called Secret War and she debuted in that issue. It skyrocketed in price after that episode.

Her father is...Mr. Hyde.

Should be interesting to watch his transformation.
Now here's the twist from comics to screen... You know how Fox owns the rights to mutants? Well, Quake is a mutant in the comics. Problem.
That's why they've reinvented her as an Inhuman. Ditto for Rena (Back to her in a second).
Anyway, since Marvel doesn't have their mutants, they're pushing Inhumans, which is hilarious considering they've been around for 50 years, sucked the whole time aside from Blackbolt and Medussa, and their comics do NOT sell. I'll bet they make a mint with the movie though.
The crystals you saw were Terragen(sp?) crystals and that mist they released transforms some people into superhumans, the Inhumans. They don't kill in the comic, so I don't know why they do in the show, and I was sad to see Trip die.
Trip was cool, but he hilariously made my prediction about there being too many black folks on the show true. I mean, you just KNEW one of them had to die.
People speculate that the guy with no eyes is an Inhuman called Reader. He's apparently new since they launched a new Inhumans book. (Again, trying to push them over in preparation for the movie.)
And don't fool yourself, if they got their mutants back, they'd drop this Inhuman shit like it was a turd on fire covered in jizz.
Here's a good shot of the Inhumans I've always known:

So the redheaded chick is Medusa (can control her hair) and she's married to Blackbolt (his voice is like punches from the hulk) who is in the center. The dog is Lockjaw and can teleport. The blonde chick in the back is Crystal and is the most interesting because she's Quicksilver's wife or ex-wife. I have no idea what the fish guy's name is but I know of him. The kung fu guy in green is a master tactician and fighter. I think he might be able to learn moves or anticipate them or some shit. I believe the big guy is Gorgon and he's muscle. The other two guys appear to be the same person(?) and I know at least one of them is Max, the king's insane brother. Think Loki only insane. He craves his brother's throne as well, but he doesn't fuck his brother over constantly. In fact, he's a great weapon. Imagine having a mix of the Joker and Loki as someone you can throw at enemies.
Oh, and the Inhumans usually show up in one specific book: Fantastic Four. Considering their film rights situation and the inevitable canceling of their comic (until those film rights come back...), it's all very interesting.
Oh, and as for Rena, people said she appeared to turn feline, which made folks immediately wonder about Inhumans who were cat-like and this immediately sprang to mind:

The problem there is that she's from the 60s or 70s and nobody knows who the fuck she is!
Now she could be a new character OR she could be a well known character who has been on multiple Avengers teams: Tigra

My money's on Tigra.
