Synopsis:
Kevin Smith needed some cash, so he agreed to have Q&A sessions at various colleges during '01-02.
Review:
Most of the questions are bullshit and uninteresting.
A few of the better ones...
1) A lesbian starts bitching about Chasing Amy. He destroys her without being a huge douche.
2) This is the first of what I'll call "Kevin Smith's True Hollywood Stories." Someone asks him about the time Jon Peters was producing the Superman script in the late '90s and he was involved in a rewrite. If you're unfamiliar with that particular piece of shit, it had everyone from Sean Penn to Nic Cage starring and was retooled fuck knows how many times by how many writers. Anyway, his tales of meeting with the movie execs and Peters especially are hilarious.
"You see Sean Penn's eyes? It's like the eyes of a violent killer animal that's barely contained. That's why I want him for the lead."
"You ... you ... that's what you want for the guy playing Superman?"
3) The second of the True Hollywood Stories ... Kevin Smith shot a documentary for Prince. He goes into what it was like working for him for a week and why the footage will never be seen. He also talks about a few conversations he had with Prince during the project. Fucking hilarious.
Verdict:
Just YouTube the best parts, unless you're a hardcore Smith fan. Jay Mewes did show up at least one of the talks, so there's some footage of him, and that's a plus.
