Starlog provided more details for the film that it will be “more team-based, as Snake Plissken traverses through a treacherous New York landscape with a rogues gallery of criminals who look to leave the island-turned-prison in exchange for the rescue of the captured U.S. President.”

Team-based?

As for Plissken, the site stated the character’s past will be seen in “brief glimpses throughout the film” to show Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Snake suffers from PTSD?

All that crap is team based now to appeal to women. They have a strong central bad ass to appeal to men, and a supporting family like team to appeal to the women. That's why you no longer have shows like Rockford Files and Columbo and Dirty Harry or Death Wish movies and instead have Criminal Minds and NCIS a "team" shows.

Saw an article on that happening a couple of years ago and that was eye opening and quite interesting.

The team-based motif doesn't bother me nearly as much as the PTSD one. Snake Plissken? Are you fist-fucking me? Having flashbacks that mentally cripple him? Bull the fuck shit. The Kurt Russell version remembers exactly what they did to Fresno Bob. And that one didn't flinch.

Well, they have to show he's a sensitive male. He may kill somebody, but they'll have it coming and he'll feel really bad about it.

Yeah, a sensitive Snake Pliskin is not Snake Pliskin.
