A group of college kids head out for a fun weekend at a remote cabin. Meanwhile, a man who killed three friends to save his own life gets released from prison. Hilarity ensues.

Honestly, the kids are written well. They're shallow, stupid, full of bullshit and bravado, horny, and generally terrible people.

Aside from that the writing in this movie is fucking abysmal.

This movie isn't worth your time despite one set of boobs (small) and the religious chick from Orange is the New Black making a long cameo. I didn't even mind the acting or effects. It was simply that the movie mad no sense.

I'm going to start venting spoilers now so if you don't want to read them, move along.

Spoilers

So this killer is going to prove to the world that his actions were correct by forcing other people to make the same choices. "Killer" being the worst definition possible because it's implied that it was a split second decision while mountain climbing.

Anyway, this guy who wants to prove he didn't make the wrong choice begins making others face the same choice by murdering one of the girls. He tells her to kill her boyfriend and without warning cuts her throat. So...same choice?

Then he tells the rest to kill each other by dawn and the last person standing gets out alive.

The first person basically gets killed by a trap this dude sets. So again...same choice?

The other kids eventually die off, but only one of the kids has the kill or be killed mentality. The rest are too scared or trying to protect each other. In fact, none of the deaths in the movie are a direct result of the rules the guy lays out.

So...point proven?

This all culminates in the final death being a suicide to save the last person's life! The guy claims to be vindicated, but doesn't the self sacrifice prove he's wrong?

Terrible writing.
