ArcheAge - Formerly: "So I've been playing..."
I have broken the 1000 gp barrier. Sold my 7th Thunderstruck Log this morning.
Best way to sell items is to advertise them slightly below AH prices in faction chat. Then meet the person on Mirage Island. It's how I've sold this last batch of logs and where I bought my APEXs.
Troy, did you already pull up your baby bears? I see all your adults, but no babies. Do we have to leave space for cubs? I'm wondering if I should butcher the extra two female Yatas to make room?
Stranger, I am currently farming pine trees, which gives me logs/lumber, questing which gives me motes, dust, shards, etc., and mining which gives me ingots. Considering I'm also an archer I thought it would make sense if I started working that craft (Carpentry) and let you focus on armor. Carpentry just seems to match exactly what I'm doing in game daily, and it frees you up to work on armor.
One thing I'm desperate for is a guide book to these random quest items in my bag. Can I ditch this prison shirt? Do I need it for a quest? Does it activate a quest? There are soooooo many quests, and I think a few of them are bugged so they don't take all the items when you complete them.
Last note, Cake and I were discussing the economy in this game last night, and it is broken. When anyone can craft anything, it hurts the market. Granted it will take someone a LONG time and a LOT of money to be able to craft top shelf stuff, but the fact remains that given enough time, everyone will be on the same level. They need to scale that back in a big way.
Also, the AH taxes makes the AH something people want to avoid instead of use. (See my example about the Thunderstruck Logs.) They need to fix that as well.
Fought a 2 star Giant Cockatrice this morning. We both landed a kill shot at the same time. Pretty cool.
We need to start farming big monster spawns as a group.

That would be perfect, i have just about given up on spending LP on anything but leatherworking and husbandry, i just don't have enough LP for anything else. But atleast my leatherworking is at 16k now and i can craft conqueror's gear (tier 5) but the cost of archeum crystals are really high, at least for a poor guy like me. And it won't be long till i can craft the Illustrious level and thats where the gear gets really good, and expensive!
I only grow pines in the hopes that i will get a thunderstruck some day, but it hasn't done shit for me. Infact you can have the trees i grow, just leave me a thunderstruck if for some reason i happen to get one.
WORLD CHAMPIONS!!
Servers are going down for maintenance today in about an hour. Anyone know where to find patch notes and whatnot?
I will definitely take the logs and should be able to start giving folks stuff for their homes soon.
I can give you the Thunderstruck log I've been saving for the guild. If that's ok with anyone wanting to build a cart? I would be shocked if we don't get more within the next two weeks. That should give you an infusion of cash.
Stopped at a blacksmith to repair my items. 33 silver to do it all. That's basically nothing.

I can give you the Thunderstruck log
I'll take it! i prolly would build a farm cart with it anyways. I could use something to boost my income and the cart would help. I can spam two crowns pomme cake packs and run cross continent to make some extra coin. If i sold it i'd just end up blowing it on a bunch of archeum crystals and crafting my next tier of armor. A farmcart would be a solid long term investment for me. Specially if i don't get lucky and get thunderstruck.

So I didn't get a single cub from the mating. BUULLLSHIIIT
I honestly think you need to leave them space to be placed...?

Done. Build your cart. Just don't get it stolen and destroyed. That'd suck. I'll be on tonight to give it to you. I'd jump on now and mail it to you, but the servers are down.

You get them as "cub" inventory items off the mother. You can then raise them, in which case they become bound items and either a battle pet or mount, or sell the cubs directly.
Gonna up my chances and plop some more bears down on my livestock farm.

i say next time we try and make a trade pack run we go to Freedich island. We made the long trip there last night just to check it out and there was hardly anything going on. Much better than trying to bullrush the other harbors with a bunch of meathead, pack stealing dopes just waiting for you. Really, who does that?!
Eventhough you have to run inland a little ways, you can approach the island from anywhere and you're not forced into a bottleneck of a stairwell. And we can defend and attack any potential reds because its not their continent. Plus the payoff is better.

It's possible that someone on the development team is looking out for me.
If my Yatas have babies within the week, it'll be confirmed.

They did keep updating the forums to their credit.
No patch notes, but one cryptic note: "We addressed an issue with the Auction House."
They claim server verification is underway and that's the last step before coming back online.
By the way, there is a TON of stuff that previous versions of this game had that this version doesn't have. Lots of folks thinking they simply haven't enabled it all so they can keep releasing updates to keep the game fresh.
We will see.
