A DA in Ok isn't playing around with charges against rioters.

He's 100% right, of course. The violence should not be tolerated.

Also, word on the street is that the governor of GA was tired of the mayor of ATL not doing anything, and is taking steps.

True. She announced it.

This is a lie. She has publicly pleaded for people to stop committing violence! :D

NYPD retirements are "soaring".

Meanwhile, a Dem politician there wants to force cops to buy personal insurance to cover excessive force.

Brilliant! You're losing cops in droves because they're sick of risking their lives every day for people who think they're all villains, and an elected official piles on by treating them all like they're criminals.

This is the same as the scumbags who spit on soldiers returning from Vietnam.

In totally unrelated news, violent crime is spiking in New York.

The arguments from each side about this:

The Left - The government is a fascist state where Trump is using the military to abduct peaceful protestors.

The Right - The feds are arresting looters and rioters because the people in charge of Portland won't.

Who the fuck knows what the truth is anymore?

Strap in for this one...

Protester killed and suspect "arrested". CNN's headline is a lie based on the article that follows it. Nowhere does it say the suspect was arrested. It does say he was detained and is cooperating with authorities.

Here's the protesters' version of events: Here's an interview with the victim prior to his death:
“People who oppose us are pussies and won’t do anything about it”
Now if you follow some of those threads you'll see some videos with audio and really piece together what happened. There's a picture of the guy with the AK raising his rifle despite the denial of the official protester story. There are 5 gun shots heard, a long pause, and then 3 that absolutely sound like they're of a different caliber. The victim's mom says he was shot 3 times. He, the guy holding the AK, was the only person shot.

Seems pretty obvious what happened.

Two people shot at him, and the first missed? :)

Sadly, someone tried to make that argument already. "Maybe two people in the car were shooting or the guy had two guns."

It's also been reported, by protesters not an official outlet, that the AK still had its safety on.

The problem for the protesters is that the audio doesn't match ANY of their "eyewitness accounts".

In NC, you cannot "protest" and carry a weapon. Maybe there's a reason for that.

Update: https://abcnews.go.com/US/person-intere ... d=72008018
Meanwhile, Austin Police Chief Brian Manley said a preliminary investigation of the fatal shooting of protester Garrett Foster during a Black Lives Matter demonstration in downtown Austin on Saturday night indicates that Foster may have pointed an assault rifle at the driver of a vehicle before he was shot.

"Gunshots were fired from inside the vehicle at Foster," Manley said in a statement issued Sunday night. "Someone else in the crowd opened fire on the car as it drove off.

Manley said both people who fired guns have been questioned and released pending further investigation. He said both people had concealed handgun licenses.

I am glad the veteran didn't discharge his weapon, however he broke the #1 rule of owning a gun: "Don't point it, unless you intend to use it."

Portland protesters now wondering if violence is taking away from the BLM message.

You think? Fucking idiots.

There's also lots of hubbub that Dems are worried the continued violence combined with Dems taking a supportive position (Biden hasn't said shit) is costing them votes.
