Is the writer of that article drunk with the first two speculative hires?

Brad Stevens is a hero in Boston and has zero pressure as a GM. He also hasn't coached at all in years. He's killing in as a front office guy and could command a huge salary from any other franchise. But yeah, he'll quit all that for less pay and the opportunity to be second wheel to a bunch of entitled kids who will make more money than him, and who he'll have to recruit and coddle 24/7...

Who do you want?

Personally, I hope you get May. :)

Also, can we stop with the "former player is a logical coaching choice" horseshit. It almost never works.

I wanted Golden 4 years ago. Guess I still do. But Florida will back up the money truck for him, so feels very unlikely.

May, Lloyd, or Oates would probably be great.

At first I thought you meant Asst Coach Sean May, and I was like "That's evil"... but then I realized.

Give credit where it's due...

May is legit a fantastic coach and probably should be the first name for COTY. He inherited a mess from that dumbshit Juwan Howard, and in very un-TTUN fashion, there hasn't been a hint of scandal.

I really wish OSU would put even a small bit of effort into their MBB program. Lebron James has a locker there and would be an amazing asset to recruit kids. They still get good ones, but there's never any chemistry. OSU MBB for the past decade or so has been a bunch of individual players playing as such. They never seem to gel into a cohesive unit. The last really good team we had was when Aaron Craft was the point guard.

Will Wade, fired from LSU 4 years ago for violations, was at NC State for 1 year, promising loyalty, a turn-around, etc. Is going back to LSU.

I hope LSU gets the lack of success they deserve.

The other day they beat the Catts. They beat UNC (womens) and MSU (men's; Mrs Catt's team)

I got three of the final four right, and UConn wasn't one of them.

My wife also got 3/4. But she's an MSU fan, so was hoping they would emerge over Duke/UConn.

Tell your wife I also had MSU in my FF.

Stupid UConn.

To be fair, I said "almost". Like a 20-something girl dating the "bad boy", they're trying to beat the odds.

Yeah, didn't work for UNC with Matt Doherty or Hubert Davis (Davis did OK, Doherty was a disaster). Worked with Roy Williams, though Roy was a single year JV player :)

But yeah, it's appealing, cuz the person is ostensibly loyal, knows the program, etc. But coaching aint playing.

They're the guys you really root for, so it sucks when they don't work out.

Although, I think the worse situations are the coaches who recruit elite talent, but can't coach the team to real wins. (See: Cooper, John or Randy Ayers)

Hubert Davis. Though, his recruiting could have been a little better. But he had at least 1 5 star every year to ruin.

Trump issues his EO on college athletics.

Giving credit where it's due, it's not terrible as expected. It's not perfect by any means, but it's not a disaster. I think it's an ok place to start, but this shouldn't be where things end.

It's a useless piece of shit that the president has no business writing or pretending has any validity whatsoever.

To be fair, getting your opinion on anything Trump does is like getting my opinion on anything TTUN does.
