I think he's correct about the perception as well. I think he really doesn't understand the culture of DC or how many people would rather there be another Republican candidate for him to openly ask that among that many Republicans. He should have known it would be leaked and it'd look kind of sad.

I don't think Trump wrote this statement (from his Facebook page):
Last night’s horrific execution-style shootings of 12 Dallas law enforcement officers – five of whom were killed and seven wounded- is an attack on our country. It is a coordinated, premeditated assault on the men and women who keep us safe.
We must restore law and order. We must restore the confidence of our people to be safe and secure in their homes and on the street.
The senseless, tragic deaths of two people in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done.
This morning I offer my thoughts and prayers for all of the victims’ families, and we pray for our brave police officers and first responders who risk their lives to protect us every single day.
Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like they’ve lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isn’t the American Dream we all want for our children.
This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies.

Yeah, I don't think he wrote that. I'm okay with that. He doesn't tend to stay on topic when he goes out on his own.

It's a shame he hasn't been on that message all election.

His statement on Dallas was measured, good, only a few "I did this" statements. Major PR overhaul of his normal message.

Too bad they can't have someone speak for him the same way other people write for him.

Sources Say Trump Wants To Nominate A Democrat For His VP. Namely Pro-abortion registered Democrat retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. Appears Trump is butthurt by the reception he got from Republicans this past week. And this story might be the one driving the other story that
ANTI-TRUMP FORCES SEEK RULE CHANGE TO SEIZE POWER TO CHOOSE VP AWAY FROM HIM!!
I really don't want Hillary as President, but it's pretty obvious that's where we're heading if something doesn't change. I'm going to be really disappointed if this Republican convention isn't the best blockbuster of the summer.

A) No jack-ass is going to associate himself with Trump. If by some miracle he nominates one, and if by a further miracle that one accepts, he'll have alienated what amounts to his base. There's virtually no limit on how far the bottom can drop if that occurs.
B) The more I think about the RNC, the more I expect Trump to walk away with the official stamp of approval. Why? When I think of "balls" or "having a spine" or "willingness to tell tradition to go fuck itself," the Reality TV Party regulars do not spring to mind. I hope he loses it, but I don't expect it.

I'm hoping they do. That's the thing that will give it legitimacy if the delegates go rogue.

Supreme Court Justice trashes Tiny Hands Trump.
"He is a faker," she said of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, going point by point, as if presenting a legal brief. "He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego.
Meanwhile, he's probably praying
this doesn't happen.
A federal judge who has been a target of Donald Trump's unending scorn must decide whether to release videos of the presumed Republican presidential nominee testifying in a lawsuit about the now-defunct Trump University — images that Trump's attorneys worry will be used to tarnish the campaign.
Hopefully, the judge will release the vids.
In portions of Trump's testimony that have been released, he acknowledged that he plays on people's fantasies. He is also pressed on blog posts in 2008 that Bill Clinton was a great president and Hillary Clinton would make a great president or vice president. Of his praise for Hillary Clinton, he said, "I didn't give it a lot of thought, because I was in business."

Bah. Having to explain why you hate trump is like being told you have to explain why you don't want to eat dogshit. It's pretty fucking obvious to everyone that isn't oddly into eating dogshit.
I don't understand how anyone is taking sides in this election.
There I will agree. It's almost impossible to choose when all you are offered is Dogshit and Catshit. What about those of us who don't like eating any sort of shit?

Precisely why I don't vote. I think the last time I did, it was for the pro-bud Grassroots party.

At this point I'm likely to vote for Trump. Given the choice between Malicious Evil and Incompetent Malicious Evil, I'll take the one that is incompetent. Less likely to get very much of that malicious evil done.

No way. After he gets out, you will never hear the end of that shit. His ego would grow so dense it would rip space-time a new asshole.

Considering how little I listen to anything he says I have no care at all for what happens to him once he leaves office.

This is going to be like when Dennis Rodman announced he was getting married, then showed up alone in a wedding dress to the ceremony.
