Christ. Drop two nukes on a country & you're still hearing about it years later.

Rented this for $1...I got robbed.
This was Temple of Doom all over again, only worse.
Raiders and Crusade were geared towards adults, got great reviews, were still family friendly, and I'm betting made more at the box office than Temple or Skull which were geared towards 6 year olds.

Read something funny on the internet the other day.
In the first and second Indies, Indiana really didn't do anything, and in some cases actually caused more problems than he solved.
1st one, Who cares if they find the ark, they all melt anyway. Best case scenario, without Indy, they find it and want to take it back the the Fuher... instant Melto Hitler!
Third one, without Indy, no way bad guys know how to get anywhere or do anything. But hell, even if they do, Half of them die from traps, They all drink the wrong cup, Melt, and even if by process of elimination, they get the right one, they try to leave with it and the temple comes crashing down.
I guess in the second one, Indy rescues a bunch of Indian kids and further contributes to the Overpopulation of India.

Shia wasn't in Temple of Doom acting like James Dean. Temple didn't have all the silly jokes like the jocks versus greasers fight. Etc.
Actually, saying which movie is worse is like arguing which turd is shinier. They both suck.
And Catt, I'm sure inflation was part of it, but not enough to equal to huge box office for Skulls. It made some money, but I can't find anyone who liked it. The next Indy box office should be interesting, especially if it also has a bad early word.

Let JJ Abrams make it.

I'll take that over the chick that got into the film solely cos she was banging Spielberg. & let's not go into the "for the children" bullshit in there. You're digging to find the last couple sacred stones which will give you untold, wild powers. So naturally you decide to excavate them quickly by conscripting an army of ten-year olds to dig thru solid rock.
Let JJ Abrams make it.
Hell, no.
