In all seriousness, I think they were closed due to abuses going on within them (sexual, etc.). However, that just shows the stupidity of overcorrecting an issue. (In other words, why cancel culture is fucking ignorant.) Now we're left with a society where mental health issues are skyrocketing and we really don't have the infrastructure to deal with it all.
