pirates have plenty of downside. You can't go into any town without getting attacked by every NPC and you can't be in a guild, you get kicked out. Just read that on the bottom of the load screen when getting in game.

Your basically sent to an island that is all pirates and the sea, you can't step onto shore without getting attacked

Damn! wish we woulda used the aqualungs for those two trade packs that we rightfully earned by killing those two rowboaters. Got my first PvP kill though. But when they called thier buddies i was literally a sitting duck in the middle of the water. wish i had a screenshot of those 3 clippers circling me, was hilarious!

i can't help but think if we had a guild we would have made enemies with two of them by now.

So when you kill a dude on a row boat - the trade pack immediately drops to the ocean floor. Even if that's a few hundred feet.

Cake and I both dove down for trade packs, got them, and then drowned trying to surface.

Pretty fun night though.

e: I think if you kill someone on the water, it's hard to later find the blood stain to report the murder. We didn't get ANY naughty points for our actions last night. Stranger did get pwned by pirates though. Cake and I just drowned.

I am just behind you guys in levels now. I think 4 is the biggest lead someone has over me.

I found a mine that has Elite level missions. Is it worth it? There seems to be a queue of people outside of it at all times.

Also found a four star monster and I think it instakilled a guy in a party I joined after I got back on (I was logged because I dared go take a shit).

i don't know anything about the Elite missions yet, never seen one or even know what level you need to be to do them.

U are plenty high enough level to roll with us, we don't all have to be the same level. Last night i saw people anywhere from level 17-40 so chances are we're gonna run into higher level peeps anyways. But its still good to just have numbers, and the fact that you are ranged really helps on ships.

A little bit of info on the PvP system that we were having questions with last night:
Open water = everyone vs. everyone

If you are in the water on the coast, and it says controlled zone, then you are not in the open water.

Here's the basic rules for PvP:

1.During Danger/War times, anyone can attack anyone. Danger levels increase according to how many faction vs. faction kills happen, until it gets to the war status and the timer starts, which eventually leads to peace. A zone will never reach peace unless war breaks out first. On the other hand, a zone can be permanently in Danger status if there aren't enough opposing faction kills.
2.During peace time, east/west factions cannot attack each other, and you cannot attack same faction. Pirates who have left their faction by gaining 3000 infamy can attack at anytime however.
3.While in a safe zone on your continent, you cannot be attacked by the opposing continent unless you attack them first. Attacking a person in a group only flags that one person, so you can attack them one at a time as long as you don't AoE. Pirates however, can attack you in your safe zone at any time.
4.While on the enemy continent in a safe zone, you cannot attack them unless they attack you first. Same rule applies, they only flag you if they attack you, not your entire group.

So when we were making our drops we were on the East continent and were at the mercy of whoever was there. They could attack us first and only then could we attack back. The worst part about this is, if they chose to just attack just one of us; the rest of us would have to just sit back and watch the other guy get fucked unless they attacked one of us too. But you only have to get to an area around the delivery location and then you are safe. I know this because i was getting attacked but when i got off the docks and to main land the attacks stopped.

This is only in the safe zones of the other continent, if we were delivering to a PvP non-safe zone im sure we could go in with guns ablazing. Although carrying a trade pack pretty much makes you a sitting duck.

Another vindictive, being a douche.... congrats

Out of curiosity
Does anybody else just find Vindictive annoying? Idk what it is, just annoyed by the guild

I missed a couple of trees in the first run. Have 96 lumber now.

I've seen a few finished farm houses in our area. All the aspens we had planted last night netted us the 96 lumber. Planted 5 pomegranate trees (3 in mine, 2 in Troy's). Rest all Aspens. I did not cut down the pine trees.

So, with all of our land doing wood, it would only take about 2 days to get it all.

We need stone though, i believe for your farmhouse we need twice as much stone as lumber and we need to put the stone in first before we can use the lumber for it.

We do, but stone is cheap compared to wood. Once were done getting the wood we need to build, we can convert it to stone on the AH.

Is lumber still freefalling (last I checked it was 40-45)?? Gotta take that profit while we can get it.

God dang man, fuck Ollo. Wish I could salvage my marketplace items, but my land was shit compared to what we have now. We're already pretty much landed noblemen on Lucius.

Stone is easy to get. An hour of mining nets a ton. Same with iron. And we can grow wood to sell to buy stone.
