FYI, some notes for TikTokers on the UFC event at the White House:
-The UFC paid the $60M for the event, not tax payers (tax payers do pay for security, but that's true for every day/event).
-Calling the UFC "white trash" is racist, elitist, and bigoted. Yes, the UFC has some white fighters and fans, but it's an international sport involving fighters and fans from most of the countries throughout the world.
-"No one I know wanted to watch it" is NOT proof that nobody was watching. 1. You don't talk to anyone. Meanwhile, your two teenage daughters talk to a lot of people every day, so you don't get to dismiss them when they say every guy they know was watching. 2. Your TikTok feed is not reality. It's also so insanely far left, it makes Catt seem like Dick Cheney. 3. It was only streamed on Paramount+, so no ratings data is available. We only have Dana White and Paramount saying it exceeded expectations, which are very biased sources, obviously.
-A single pilot, not "multiple pilots", reported being "blinded" by light from the UFC event on approach to Reagan. He claimed it was "10X brighter than any laser", which AI says is "very clearly a gross exaggeration". No other pilots reported any issue. (FYI, the restricted air space around the White House is 13-17 miles, not a perfect circle, so the odds of this "blinding" actually being a real issue are quite slim.)
-While Trump doing this on his birthday does indeed invoke thoughts of actual dictators throwing themselves parties, it does not mean that's what was taking place. For example: The last administration threw a drag show with numerous children in attendance on the White House lawn. Considering the extremely high rate of pedophilia among that population, by your logic here, the last administration was full of pedophiles.

Before I respond, I do want to point out that I'm not what one would call a UFC fan. I've never purchased one of their PPVs, but I have seen them at a bar, a friend's for a get together, or on free TV. So, my responses are not coming from a place of defense for something I'm into. That would be biological women, gaming, and football, just in case anyone wants to attack me.

I also did not tune in for this event.

I stand by what I said about elitism and bigotry. Not to mention it's racist as hell to paint the entire planet with a single colored brush, and yes, it's popular all over the planet. Point being, "white trash" is 100% the wrong term. Maybe just "trash"?

Don't get butt hurt about that either. I have the very same view about NASCAR and motor sports in general. Who the fuck am I to turn my nose up at something millions love? It's not right, but I do have that opinion. As said about a billion times, everyone is a bigot.

Depends on the audience you're focusing on. Fight nights in Vegas are filled with the same billionaires, millionaires, Hollywood celebrities, politicians, etc. that you saw at Tyson fights. Not for nothing, but there are many who would lump you into the UFC fanbase as you enjoy football and its violent nature. They make no distinction between the two, like we do.

And we're judging tens of millions of people on one asshat's comments? Cool. So, the uninformed, ignorant, sexist, and racist comments made daily on The View are a proper representation of all left wingers?

And I'm obviously just being snarky there, but you know it's a fair point. Each side has dipshits who will say and do outlandish shit. They are not a measure of the rest.

Interesting side note: Joan Rivers was the first person I know of to say something about Michelle Obama being a man publicly. I only know that because of Jim Norton's stand up from many, many years ago where he discussed when she said it.
