He's right that other countries are offering Hollywood studios money to make their movies elsewhere. However, how do you fix that? Not through tariffs, but by offering studios better deals to stay home. Some states and cities have done just that. If the feds kicked in some incentive to film domestically on top of that, perhaps studios wouldn't film overseas a lot.

Although, the tariffs do zero to dissuade a company if they need to film on location. In fact, it just punishes them.

Plus, American films are propaganda, even if unintended.

I liked the one I posted previously better. It told the whole story, not just a story one wants told.

Seriously, he doesn't praise or slam the tariffs. Just discusses the why and how the situation could change things.

What does a tariff on a foreign movie even mean? Did he start there?

Essentially, it all breaks down to rebates, and he heavily implies that this is more about encouraging domestic action than foreign. Foreign countries currently give more to production companies to shoot their movies and shows there instead of the U.S.

A U.S. example is Georgia who gives a 30% rebate on everything, which is why so many things are made there now. In CA, lawmakers have been mulling over a 35% rebate, which would beat the UK's, but they've dragged their feet for some time.

CD is a British filmmaker, so you'd think he'd be mostly biased against the move. However, he shockingly avoided politics in explaining the situation and what it means overall for the film industry.

I'm a grower dammit!), TTUN's recent football championship, Snapchat wasn't saving pictures (they were and they admitted it), Google with my data, Bill Gates the "humanitarian", the opinions on American life from nepobabies in Hollywood, anyone discussing the financial direction of the country that indicates socialism/communism might be good things to try, NDgT talking politics and gender, MTG talking about anything, a drink at a Diddy party, a Boeing 737, the reliability of a 2018 Ford Focus, EA purchasing a beloved studio and/or franchise, the financial future of the WNBA, Kayne West visiting Auschwitz, the value of a college degree for "everyone", Mike Tomlin's ability to hire assistant coaches, etc.

The MSM spins everything, and the constant bias in reporting can only be denied by the dumbest of cultists who ignore mountains of evidence from nonbiased watchdogs. So, color me skeptical and that's even knowing the Cato Institute is usually right leaning as they're heavily libertarian. I don't like how the data that's being reported is cherry picked and vague.

For example: Just because some of them came in legally, doesn't mean they aren't gang members or criminals (or became them here), and quite honestly, such things (again, with some caveats) should be immediate grounds for losing your legal status (I thought it did in some circumstances?). We've got enough garbage, we don't need more. Additionally, what does "legal" or "refugee" even mean anymore? Legal how? Because some Biden admin official deemed them so when we know they can't legally do that? Seriously, it was awesome watching 10-20M people be blanket labeled asylum seekers when it was all bullshit and they were all from different countries. Great reporting MSM! Meanwhile, now we watch as those same fuckwits bitch about a couple handfuls of crackers being brought in who are legitimately being hunted and killed in a race driven extermination.

The MSM sat on their fucking hands as Biden opened the flood gates at the border and let in 10-20M "refugees". They barely looked up as Ds spent way more money on them than they do on our own homeless, elderly, and veterans. In fact, they purposely displaced those people in favor of illegals. They didn't bother raising alarms as border patrol agents were reporting being told to allow known criminals into the country, as the fucking government sued states to get them to stop enforcing border laws, as these very illegals went jobless yet lived high on the hog, as these very illegals raped and murdered Americans, and so on.

But yeah, reporting on 50 guys with vague "facts" is really going to get me riled up...

I've got another rant queued up about the people who complain about Trump being our president. It's not pro-Trump, but they're not going to like it anyway. But that's for another day...

You're legally obligated to have it if you drive.

And if these guys are getting picked up and providing their names, legally obligated to do so at that time, then their status should be in the system. Although, this is all a moot point. They weren't just randomly grabbed.

This is where the due process comes into play.
-If they are legally here and not involved in crimes, they stay.
-If they are legally here, but potentially involved in crimes, then they should get due process. (This is the main point of the article, and proof I don't actually disagree.)

Fuck due process for illegals. We cannot spend decades and billions of dollars giving each person a trial. If you really want to save the world, this is not the way. Technically, there were two minor infractions, but that doesn't really matter. In fact, it doesn't matter if they were criminals or not. The 9/11 hijackers didn't have tons of arrests. A lot of mobsters, gang members, klansmen, mass shooters, serial killers, and so on had no records.

Point being, we don't know the truth about these men and neither do the authors of the article. It's speculation from them to fit a narrative they're trying to tell. Being fair: Same for the other side.

From the opening of that article, they tell you everything you need to know about their bias:

Great. Now show me their same article about the 10-20M illegals Biden illegally and unconstitutionally allowed into the country. You won't find it because "the party is always right".

And honestly, this is where the complete lack of trust by the majority of the public on Biden's handling of the border comes into play. We know bad people crossed. We know some were blocked, but a lot got through. We know Venezuela, in particular, was sending criminals right from their jails.

The article even states that some of these people were facing legal action at home. So, they may not have had an interaction with the law here yet, but that doesn't mean they're innocent or not in a gang/mob.

Meanwhile, as illegals committed crimes, the crickets from the MSM continued. Because again, "the party is always right." Instead we got articles trying to say illegal crime rates were lower than citizen rates. Hey dumbfucks, their crime rate is actually 100%, and every single crime they commit shouldn't happen because they shouldn't be here.

Related: Columbia has had a massive border crisis going on since about a year after Venezuela went socialist. Heard that straight from the mouth of a Columbian visiting my company. It's not people fleeing from persecution, they're fleeing from their terrible votes leading to socialism which destroyed their country.

The tactic of printing these types of sob stories might work on some, and I'm not denying (IF true) the story is shitty, but it's hard for me to care because I know it's being done as propaganda. Their silence over the past four years was proof of that.
